Why it survived
Biohazard Reaper survived because it committed hard to the bit—no winking, no compromise, just a fully realized alien autopsy that doubles as a safety placard. The celshaded halftone dots kept it just far enough from photorealism to feel intentional rather than accidentally grotesque, and the bone-white-on-orange palette read as "vintage sci-fi lab manual" rather than "my first Photoshop filter." Turns out there's a market for designs that look like they're warning you about something while simultaneously trying to recruit you into a cult.
